Balsamic And Black Pepper
Beef Tenderloin Steaks

"This steak goes great with just a simple side dish of olive oil & rosemary roasted red potatoes."

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks, abotu 4 to 6 ounces each and 1 inch thick
  • Cooking spray of your choice
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper


Directions

  1. Preheat grill or broiler.
  2. Combine molasses and vinegar in a medium bowl, stirring with a whisk.
  3. Add beef tenderloin steaks, turning to coat.
  4. Place steaks on grill or a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill or broil 6 minutes; turn steaks over. Grill or broil an additional 5 minutes or until desired degree of doneness. Serve immediately.


Final Beef Temperatures:
Rare: Very red, warm center 125 degrees
Medium: Pink, warm center 130 degrees
Well: Pink, very warm center 145 degrees and above
