Mr. Roberts "Can't Go Wrong" Beef Chili

Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp IGA Vegetable Oil
  • 3 lbs 90% Lean Ground Round Beef Hamburger
  • Salt
  • 2 pkgs, 12 oz each Ore Ida frozen chopped onions
  • 1 pkg, 10 oz McKenzie's frozen chopped green peppers
  • 3 cloves already peeled garlic, minced
  • 4 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 7 Tbsp, about 2 oz chili powder spice
  • 2 tsp ground cumin spice
  • 2 tsp oregano spice
  • 1 can, 15.5 oz Goya dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can, 15.5 oz Goya cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 btls, 12 oz each, Heinz chili sauce
  • 1 bottle, 12 oz beer or 1 1/2 cups Kitchen Basics natural beef stock


Directions
 
  1. 1 large stove-top stockpot
  2. Heat vegetable oil on MEDIUM-HIGH.
  3. Add ground beef; cook 8-10 min until browned. Season to taste with salt.
  4. Add chopped onions, green peppers, and garlic. Cook, stirring, 3-5 min.
  5. Add Worcestershire sauce and cook 3 min.
  6. Reduce heat to MEDIUM; stir in chili powder, cumin, and oregano and cook 5 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat to LOW; add kidney beans, cannellini beans, chili sauce, and beer or stock.
  8. Simmer 30 min, stirring occasionally.
  9. Serve with shredded cheddar cheese as a topping, optional .
