Saucy Flank Steak Sandwich
Ingredients
1 (1-1/2-pound) lean flank steak (service meat department)
1 cup ketchup (aisle #6)
1/4 cup red wine vinegar (aisle #6)
2 tablespoons light-colored corn syrup (aisle #11)
1 tablespoon Grey Poupon original style mustard (aisle #6)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (aisle #6)
1 teaspoon Franks Red Hot hot sauce (aisle #6)
Cooking spray (aisle #11)
8 (1-1/2-ounce) hamburger buns (aisle #12)
Ripe olives (optional) (aisle #6)


Directions
 
1. Combine steak and next 6 ingredients (steak through hot sauce) in a large zip-top plastic bag. Seal bag; marinate in refrigerator 8 hours, turning bag occasionally. Remove steak from bag, reserving marinade.

2. Prepare grill or broiler. Place steak on grill rack or broiler pan coated with cooking spray; grill or broil 8 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Slice steak diagonally across grain into thin strips. Set aside; keep warm.

3. Pour reserved marinade through a sieve into a small microwave-safe bowl; cover with plastic wrap. Microwave at high 5 minutes or until marinade boils. Divide steak evenly among bottom halves of buns; top each with 2 tablespoons marinade and top half of bun. Garnish with sliced olives, if desired.
