New York Strip Steak "Biscetta alla Florentine" Florentine Beefsteak
Ingredients
2 lemons (produce department)
2 Boneless New York Strip Steaks , approximately 1 inch thick. (service meat department)
2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (aisle #11)
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (aisle #11)
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (spice rack end of aisle 11)


Directions
 
Outdoor Grill Method:
1. Cut 1 lemon in half crosswise, the other into 8 wedges.
2. Juice 2 lemon halves (a citrus juicer can help) into large baking dish. Add steaks; turn several times to coat.
3. Preheat outdoor grill to High.
4. Grill 6 minutes; flip and grill second side another 6 minutes. This will grill steak to rare. For more or less doneness, use an instant-read thermometer. For Rare 140 degrees, Medium Rare 145 degrees, Medium 155 degrees, Medium Well 160 degrees, Well Done 165 degrees.
5. Place steaks on a cutting board. Slice across the grain, in 1/2 inch wide pieces. Place on a large plate or serving platter; drizzle with olive oil, juice from 2 lemon wedges and salt and pepper. Serve extra lemon to drizzle on steaks.

Optional Indoor Grill Pan Method:
1. Follow steps 1 and 2 above 2.Heat a non-stick Ballarini Grill Pan or skillet over High until very hot.
3. Grill steaks for 3 minutes. Turn and grill an additional 3 minutes. This will grill steak to rare.
4. Proceed to step 5 above.
