Quick & Easy - Grilled New York Strip Steaks
With Cracked Seasoned Pepper Blend

Ingredients
  • 4 "Certifed Angus Beef" New York strip steaks, 12 to 16 ounces each (service meat & seafood departtment)
  • 4 Tbsp McCormick Seasoned Pepper Blend Spice (aisle # 8)
  • Cooking spray of your choice (aisle # 6)


Directions
 
  1. Preheat grill on HIGH for 10 min.
  2. Clean grill with wire brush; using soft cloth, coat grill lightly with vegetable oil.
  3. Season both sides of meat with steak seasoning.
  4. Sear meat on grill until it changes color 1/4 way up from bottom, 2-3 min. Turn; sear other side.
  5. Turn meat back over. Reduce heat to LOW or (MEDIUM for cuts thinner than 1-inch).
  6. Cook meat to desired doneness. Check by inserting digital thermometer halfway into thickest part of meat. Remove from grill.
Final Beef Temperatures:
Rare: Very red, warm center 125 degrees
Medium: Pink, warm center 130 degrees
Well: Pink, very warm center 145 degrees and above
