Cilantro Turkey Burgers with Chipotle Ketchup
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs (aisle # 12)
- 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro (produce department)
- 1/4 pre-shredded Parmesan cheese (food court cheese case)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (aisle # 8)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (spice rack end of aisle # 8)
- 1 pound ground turkey (service meat department)
- Cooking spray of your choice (aisle # 8)
- 1 (7-ounce) can chipotle chiles in adobo sauce (aisle # 8)
- 1/4 cup ketchup (aisle # 6)
- 4 (2¼-ounce) whole wheat hamburger buns (deli bread rack or aisle # 12)
- 4 red leaf lettuce leaves (produce department)
Directions

- Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Divide turkey mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping each into a 1/3 inch thick patty.
- Heat a large grill pan or large non-stick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Add turkey patties, and cook 5 minutes on each side or until done.
- Remove 2 teaspoons chipolte chiles in adobo sauce from can and combine with ketchup
- Place 1 patty on bottom half of each bun; top each patty with 1 tablespoon chipotle ketchup and 1 lettuce leaf. Cover with top halves of buns.
