- 1 tbsp Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 ounces crumbled feta cheese, about 1/2 cup
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp cracked pepper blend spice
- 1 tsp olive oil of your choice
- 4 tbsp roasted red pepper hummus, divided
- 4 leaves red leaf lettuce
- 1 small cucumber, cut into 12 thin slices
- 4 100% whole wheat pitas, slit/sliced horizontally

Directions
| |
- Preheat grill on HIGH for 10 minutes.
- Combine ground turkey, baby spinach, bread crumbs, feta cheese, oregano, cracked pepper, and olive oil in mixing bowl. Form into 4 burgers.
- Clean grill with wire brush. Using soft cloth, coat grill grate lightly with vegetable oil or cooking spray. Place burgers on grill. Reduce heat to MEDIUM.
- Sear burgers on grill 2 minutes until they have changed color about one-quarter of way up from bottom. Turn over and sear 2-3 minutes on the other side. Turn again, reducing heat to MEDIUM or LOW. Close lid.
- Cook about 10 min until internal temp reaches 165 degrees, check by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of burgers. Transfer to clean platter and set aside.
- Top each burger with 1 Tbsp red pepper hummus, red leaf lettuce, and 3 slices thinly sliced cucumber. Place in pitas and serve.
