Slow-Cooker BBQ Sandwiches
Ingredients
5 tablespoons dark brown sugar(aisle #11)
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper(spice rack end of aisle #11)
2 16 ounce flank steaks(service meat department)
1 cup chopped yellow onion(produce department)
1 cup tomato paste(aisle #7)
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce(aisle #6)
3 tablespoons molasses(aisle #11)
3 tablespoons cider vinegar(aisle #6)
1 tablespoon chili powder(spice rack end of aisle #11)
1 teaspoon garlic powder(spice rack end of aisle #11)
1 teaspoon dried mustard (spice rack end of aisle #11)
1 teaspoon ground cumin (spice rack end of aisle #11)
1/2 teaspoon salt (aisle #11)
10 store baked grinder rolls of your choice, cut in half
(bakery department/food court)
Red onion slices, optional(produce department)
Dill pickle slices, optional (aisle #6)
Directions

1. Combine 1 tablespoon brown sugar and pepper; rub over both sides of steaks. Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, onion and next 9 ingredients (onion through salt)in an electric crock pot. Add steaks and turn to coat. Cover with lid; cook on high setting for 1 hour.
2. Reduce heat to low; cook for 7 hours.
3. Remove steaks; reserve sauce. Shred steaks with two forks.
4. Return steaks to cooker; stir into sauce. Spoon 1/2 cup of steak mixture onto bottom half of each roll; top with onion and pickles if desired. Cover with tops of rolls.
