Penne Pasta With Cabbage And Poultry Sausage
Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp Colavita Extra Virgin olive oil (aisle #8)
  • 2 links Roberts won poultry sausage, mild or hot (service meat department)
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped or 1 tsp jarred minced garlic (produce department)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (produce department)
  • 3 cups about half a small head, finely shredded cabbage (produce department)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 can 28 oz Progresso "Recipe Ready" curshed tomatoes, undrained (aisle # 7)
  • 1 pkg 16 oz Barilla penne pasta, cooked and drained (aisle # 7)


Directions
 
  1. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet. Add sausage, cover and brown slowly on Medium 10 minutes. Remove sausage from skillet and cut into 1/2 inch chunks.
  2. Add garlic, onion, cabbage, and water to skillet. Cover and cook on Low until cabbage is wilted, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add undrained tomatoes to skillet along with cut-up sausage.
  4. Simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Toss cooked pasta with sauce.
