Vietnamese-Spiced Pork Chops

Rub the sweet-hot rub into the scored surface of the boneless pork chops. The longer you let it sit under refridgeration, the hotter it will be. Serve with simple white rice.

Ingredients
  • 4 boneless center-cut pork chops, about 4ounces and 1/2 inch thick each (service meat & seafood)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (aisle # 8)
  • 2 teaspoons paprika (aisle # 8)
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander (aisle # 8)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt (aisle # 8)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (aisle # 8)
  • 1 tablespoon bottled minced ginger (aisle # 8)
  • 2 teaspoons bottled minced garlic (produce department)
  • Cooking spray of your choice (aisle # 6)
  • Sliced scallions - green onions
    (produce department)

Directions
 
  1. Lightly score a diamond pattern on both sides of pork chops.
  2. Combine sugar and next six ingredients, sugar through garlic; rub evenly over pork.
  3. Heat a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat.
  4. Add pork; cook 4 minutes on each side or until done.
  5. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired. Serve with simple white rice.
