Spiced Salmon Steaks
Ingredients
1 tablespoon chili powder (spice rack end of aisle #11)
2 teaspoons light brown sugar ( aisle #11)
1 teaspoon ground cumin spice ( aisle #11)
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves ( aisle #11)
1 teaspoon salt ( aisle #11)
2 teaspoons 100% pure olive oil (aisle #11)
4 salmon steaks, 3/4" thick - about 8 ounces each (from our service seafood dept.)
lemon wedges, optional (produce department)
Directions

1. In a cup, mix chili powder, brown sugar, cumin, thyme, salt, and olive oil.
2. With tweezers, remove any small bones from salmon steak .
3. With hands, rub spice mixture over both sides of salmon steaks. Place salmon on grill over medium heat. Cook about 8 minutes or until salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork, turning once. Serve with lemon wedges and garnish with sprigs of thyme.
