Shrimp With Fresh Peppers
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil (aisle # 11)
1 ½ pounds large uncooked, peeled and deveined shrimp (service seafood department)
2 ½ cups red bell pepper strips (peppers in produce department)
1 cup vertically sliced sweet Vidalia or yellow onions (produce department)
2/3 cup fresh orange juice, about 2 oranges (produce department)
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon cornstarch (aisle # 11)
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (produce department)
2 tablespoons Colonial jalapeno or hot pepper jelly (aisle # 1)
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice(limes in produce department, lime juice in aisle #2)
½ teaspoon hoisin sauce (aisle # 8)
½ teaspoon salt (aisle # 11)
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (spice rack end of aisle # 11)
Directions

1. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and saute 3 minutes or until shrimp are done. Remove shrimp from pan with a slotted spoon; keep warm.
2. Add bell pepper and onion to pan, and saute for 2 minutes over medium-high heat. Add the orange juice, reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes.
3. Combine water and corn starch in a small bowl. Add corn starch mixture, basil, jelly, and lime juice to pan and bring to a boil. Cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Add hoisin sauce; cook 1 minute. Stir in shrimp, salt, and black pepper.
