Grilled Swordfish Steaks
With Balsamic Onion Sauce

Ingredients
  • 2 medium red onions
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 6 swordfish steaks, about 2 lbs.
  • salt & pepper to taste


Directions
 
  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, saute onion and 1/4 cup of olive oil for two minutes.
  2. Add chicken broth; simmer for 5 minutes. If the mixture becomes too dry, add more chicken broth. Add balsamic vinegar and cook 3 more minutes. Set aside.
  3. Sprinkle swordfish with salt & pepper and drizzle remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over steaks.
  4. Grill or broil over high heat about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Top with balsamic onion sauce.
