Grilled Swordfish Steaks With Balsamic Onion Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 medium red onions
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 6 swordfish steaks, about 2 lbs.
- salt & pepper to taste
Directions

- In a large saucepan over medium heat, saute onion and 1/4 cup of olive oil for two minutes.
- Add chicken broth; simmer for 5 minutes. If the mixture becomes too dry, add more chicken broth. Add balsamic vinegar and cook 3 more minutes. Set aside.
- Sprinkle swordfish with salt & pepper and drizzle remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over steaks.
- Grill or broil over high heat about 5 minutes per side.
- Top with balsamic onion sauce.
