30 Minutes Or Less Hoisin Halibut
Ingredients
  • 8 ounces uncooked rice sticks or 3/4 lb. vermicelli pasta (aisle # 8 and aisle # 7)
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce, divided (aisle # 8)
  • 1 cup sliced green onions-scallions (produce department)
  • ½ cup fat free, less sodium College Inn chicken broth (aisle # 7)
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar (aisle # 8)
  • 3 table spoons low-sodium soy sauce (aisle # 8)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (aisle # 8)
  • 1 tablespoon grated peeled fresh ginger (produce department)
  • 1 teaspoon chile paste with garlic (aisle # 8)
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    (spice rack end of aisle # 8)
  • 8 (6-ounce) halibut steaks, about 1 inch thick
    (fresh seafood department)
  • Cooking spray of your choice (aisle # 8)


Directions
 
  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Cook noodles or pasta according to package directions. Combine noodles, 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce, and next 8 ingredients in a large bowl and keep warm.
  3. Rub fish with 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce. Place fish on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray, broil 4 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve over noodles.
